AWS SAA: Adrian Cantrill’s SAA-C02 course, 50 minutes; ‘Cloud Computing Fundamentals’, all three subsections. Gives a nicely simplified overview of the 5 core components of cloud computing as established by NIST, clarifies distinctions between IAAS, PAAS and SAAS succinctly and clearly, and delineates different cloud service models. Planning on soaking in this material and also studying the NIST publication to really absorb these groundwork concepts.
Mathematics: Geometry, 45 minutes: Reviewed all postulates and theorems for the first ten chapters, and worked through the last couple of examples in the ‘Preparation for College Entrance Exams’, including writing a proof of why the intersection of two angle bisectors of a triangle are equidistant from the sides of the triangle.
A+ core two: Professor Messer free online video course, 75 minutes: Sections 1.6, ‘Windows Control Panel’, through section 1.9, ‘MacOS and Linux’, bringing me to the end of the first section of review for the exam. Also a good reminder that at some point I need to re-focus on honing my Linux chops.
Music: Supercollider, ‘A Gentle Introduction’ book, part 3, chapter 16, p. 41-47, section 16-18, discussing the morphology and syntax of the language, it’s classification as a functional programming language, objects, methods, and starting in on nesting. Ran a bunch of examples in the ide to hear the sound output and analyze the structure of the code.
